Revealed Light

Unwoven Light
installation
2013

A biomorphic ceiling of suspended shaped chain link fence units with iridescent plexiglas squares fixed into its cells washes the environment with an ever-changing rainbow of light. The structure is a filter that captures the light and forces it to reveal itself.

"Carving into colour, it might itself be understood as a quasi-sculptural process... the carefully modelled central figure stands out powerfully from the painting giving

What You See is What You See

Detail 2

Colourful structures without meaning and purpose - Frank Stella's new 3D works combining weight and solidity with a musical fluidity don't present any meaning or story - they only present monumental, colourful, structures:  "what you see is what you see". But what a joy to the eye and the senses, what a refreshing energy and dynamism.
