Battle for Ataturk

"Turks are protesting a plan to build a new mosque in Istanbul's Gezi Park... where the historic Atatürk Cultural Centre will be demolished... Ataturk modernised and secularised the country, outlawed Sufi Islam, Westernised the Turkish alphabet... while today Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is increasingly Islamic and dictatorial...
The protesters are in fact mainly middle class pro-Western professionals, secular liberals, feminists and environmental and gay activists..."

All That She Wants

She leads a lonely life
She leads a lonely life

When she woke up late in the morning light
And the day had just begun
She opened up her eyes and thought
Oh what a morning
It's not a day for work
It's a day for catching tan
Just lying on the beach and having fun
She's going to get you

All that she wants is another baby
She's gone tomorrow boy
All that she wants is another baby
All that she wants is another baby
She's gone tomorrow boy
All that she wants is another baby
All that she wants - all that she wants

So if you are in sight and the day is right
She's the hunter you're the fox
The gentle voice that talks to you won't talk forever
It is a night for passion
But the morning means goodbye
Beware of what is flashing in her eyes
She's going to get you

All that she wants is another baby
She's gone tomorrow boy
All that she wants is another baby
All that she wants is another baby
She's gone tomorrow boy
All that she wants is another baby

All that she wants is another baby
She's gone tomorrow boy
All that she wants is another baby
All that she wants is another baby
She's gone tomorrow boy
All that she wants is another baby
All that she wants - all that she wants

Matchbox Landscapes

Old American matchboxes collected a long time ago and recreated with the drawings of the still existing bars, teahouses, roadside diners they advertised, using Google Street View photographs

Worm Art

Aquatic caddis fly larvae with cases incorporating gold, opal, and turquoise

Caddis flies produce aquatic larvae that protect their developing bodies by manufacturing sheaths spun from silk and incorporating substances available in their ecosystem. If other suitable materials are introduced into their environment, they will often incorporate those as well:  gold spangles, semi-precious and precious stones: turquoise, opals, lapis lazuli and coral, as well as pearls, rubies, sapphires, and diamonds seen here.
